Palestine U-17 football team begins training camp in Guraidhoo

The Palestinian Under-17 national football team will camp in Maldives on the 27th of this month. The trip is part of their final preparations for the AFC Under-17 Asian Cup qualifiers.

The FAM has received significant assistance from the Maldivian government to cover the cost of the trip, FAM said. The team is scheduled to camp in K.Guraidhoo.

The tour includes two friendlies against the Maldivian Under-17 national team. The matches are scheduled to be played on Friday and the second day of next month. These fixtures will provide both teams with valuable international exposure, especially for the young Maldivian squad preparing for their own competitive commitments. The visit is also expected to strengthen sporting ties and youth-level cooperation between the two countries.

The FAM thanked the Government of Maldives and the Guraidhoo Council for their assistance and cooperation in organizing the camp.

The Palestinian Under-17 team is scheduled to return home on the 5th of next month after completing their training camp in Maldives. The Palestinian youth team and senior football team have also played in Maldives in the past. The Palestinian Under-17 team also camped in Maldives late last year.
