Sun Siyam Media (SS Media) has signed an agreement with the Maldives Magicians Association to serve as the media partner of the Maldives 2nd International Magic Festival, scheduled for next month.
Sales and Marketing Manager Abdulla Faisal signed the agreement on behalf of SS Media at a ceremony held Thursday at the company’s office. The agreement was signed on behalf of the Maldives Magicians Association by President Ahmed Shareef.
In addition to promoting the festival, both shows will be broadcast live on SS Media. Under a premium subscription model through SSTV and Sunplay, atoll residents will also be able to pay to watch the shows live.
Association President Ahmed Shareef told Sun that more than 15 magicians from China, Russia, Egypt, Sri Lanka, India, Pakistan and Maldives will participate, with discussions ongoing to bring additional international performers.
The festival will be held on November 20 and 21. The first day will feature a competition judged by an international panel, while the second day will showcase a gala performance. Both shows will run from 14:00 to 16:00.
Trophies will be awarded to the top three magicians after the gala. Tickets are on sale, with a specific date for public release to be announced later.
This is the association’s second magic festival. The Maldives Magicians Association was registered on October 11, 2023.
