Hajj Corporation backtracks decision to sell apartments to staff, announcing public sale.
As part of efforts to strengthen the financial position and profitability of the Maldives Hajj Corporation, the corporation has decided to make apartment units in its luxury residential development, ‘Niam Residence’, available for public sale.
The Hajj Corporation stated that it is currently working to determine the prices of the units and complete the necessary arrangements to launch the public sale, with the aim of maximizing the project’s financial returns. The corporation added that sales of the ‘Niam Residence’ units will begin once these preparations have been completed.
In line with this decision, Hajj Corporation noted that all previous transactions and arrangements made for the sale of the apartments to its employees will be cancelled.
The corporation had previously issued a request for bids on January 7 to select a contractor to construct the residential development, which is located in Hulhumalé Phase II.
Design and consultancy services for the ‘Niyam Residence’ project are being overseen by the Fahi Dhiriulhun Corporation (FDC). Under an agreement signed in September last year, FDC is currently responsible for preparing the architectural drawings and technical specifications required for the development.
