Adventure Up’s Island Carnival will boost entertainment and business in Kulhudhuffushi, says Mayor

The Island Carnival, organized by Adventure Up, will bring both entertainment and business activity to Kulhudhuffushi City, Mayor Mohamed Athif said on Tuesday.

The carnival, held alongside the Boduthiladhunmathi Bodu Bazaar, will begin on Wednesday. Athif said the market is aimed at boosting economic activity in the Boduthiladhunmathi region, covering Haa Alifu, Haa Dhaalu and Shaviyani atolls, while expanding Kulhudhuffushi’s role as a commercial hub. The initiative also seeks to encourage new entrepreneurs and create more business opportunities.

According to the Mayor, the council’s main goal is to provide everyday goods at affordable prices to residents through the event.

Athif said the carnival will feature entertainment activities not usually available to island communities, including Laser Tech and Bull Bash. He added that the horror-themed attraction, Biruveri Hoholha, was produced outside the Maldives and installation work is underway.

“I would say it is a big festival of business and entertainment that’s coming to Kulhudhuffushi,” Athif said.

Adventure Up said the carnival offers a valuable opportunity for businesses to market and launch products, and was introduced to create a joyful environment for the community.
