A-level exams begins with over 4,900 students

A-level exams began in the Maldives on Sunday, with over 4,900 students across the country sitting in the key exams.

The exams will continue until October 30.

According to the Education Ministry, there are 4,973 students sitting in this year’s exams.

This includes 3,284 students sitting in the A-level exams and 1,357 in the Edexcel HSC exams in the Male’ area.

There are another 1,689 students sitting the A-level exams and 906 sitting the HSC exams outside Male’.

The higher secondary education exams are being conducted at 53 centers across the Maldives; four in Male’ and 49 in the atolls.

President Dr. Mohamed Muizzu posted a special message via his official X account on Sunday morning, wishing the students sitting the exams the best of luck.

“The higher secondary exams are a crucial step in building the future of students, especially in choosing the field to pursue higher education in,” he wrote.

“God willing, you will be rewarded for your hard work in preparing for the exams. By the Grace of Allah, I hope you will answer the exam questions well, and make the country proud.”
