Person rescued after becoming stuck among tetrapods off Usfasgandu

A person has been rescued and transported to Indira Gandhi Memorial Hospital (IGMH) for medical treatment after getting struck among the tetrapods of the outer breakwater near the Malé Skate Park.

According to the Maldives Police Service, authorities received a report at approximately 17:16pm this evening regarding a person struck among the tetrapods of the outer breakwater near the Skate Park.

The Police confirmed that the individual was successfully rescued from the area and subsequently transported to IGMH for treatment.

However, authorities have not yet disclosed details regarding the nature or severity of the injuries sustained by the individual.
