Sun poll shows that Yameen will win Primary

A poll conducted by Sun Online regarding the Primary Election of Progressive Party of Maldives (PPM) that went on from 12 to 20 March 2013 has ended with more people voting for Abdullah Yameen.

Yameen had received 59.7 percent of votes when the poll was closed at midnight on 20 March, while his rival Umar Naseer had received 40.43 percent.

The poll was participated by 2,283 people, out of which 1,360 people voted for Yameen and 923 people voted for Umar.

People could vote in the poll via SMS, and Sun only accepted one vote per mobile number.
