The 10th edition of Travel Trade Maldives (TTM), the largest tourism fair in the country, kicked off Wednesday at Barcelo' Nasandhura.
Visit Maldives said the two-day event provides a valuable platform for tourism businesses and international experts to meet in one place, create business opportunities and strengthen industry relationships.
More than 130 resort hotels and over 250 travel operators and agents from 30 major source markets are participating in this year’s fair.
The event offers an important opportunity for tourism stakeholders to build professional relationships, form strategic partnerships and exchange insights on evolving global tourism trends.
As TTM’s Gold Sponsor and Destination Partner, Visit Maldives is participating as an exhibitor. Throughout the fair, Visit Maldives will hold key meetings with international tour operators, travel agents, DMCs, airlines and media representatives through a dedicated lounge.
These meetings are a crucial step in expanding international marketing efforts and increasing Maldives’ visibility across global markets.
“TTM is an important platform that directly links Maldives’ tourism industry with the global travel trade. This year’s participation will further strengthen existing partnerships, create new business relationships and enhance Maldives’ competitiveness in key markets,” said former Visit Maldives CEO and Managing Director Ibrahim Shiuree.
Visit Maldives’ branding will be prominently displayed throughout the event venue, on the TTM Connect digital platform and across social media channels.
The event will conclude on Thursday evening with the TTM Awards and Gala at Crossroads Maldives, where outstanding achievements in the tourism industry will be recognised.
The 10th edition of TTM highlights the vital role of tourism in connecting Maldives with international markets, strengthening trade linkages and supporting sustainable industry growth.
