Gas cylinder explosion injures four in Male'; two in critical condition

Four people were injured in a gas cylinder fire in a house in Male' city in the early hoiurs of Monday morning, police said. Two of them are in critical condition.

Police said the fire was reported at 5:27 am after a gas cylinder exploded inside the residence.

Two Bangladeshis and two Indians were injured in the incident. They are being treated at IGMH, and details of their injuries have not yet been released.

The fire was brought under control by MNDF Fire and Rescue Service. A team from the National Disaster Management Authority (NDMA) is on the scene.

The incident occurred in a five-bedroom apartment where 15 people lived.

Police are investigating the incident further.
