Shazhath appointed to AgroNat’s board as accounting and finance sector representative

Shazhath Latheef has been appointed to the Board of Directors of Agro National Corporation Limited (AgroNat).

The Privatization and Corporatization Board (PCB), the regulatory authority overseeing state-owned enterprises, announced that Shazhath was appointed to the AgroNet board as the representative for the accounting and finance sector.

Before joining the board, Shazhath served as a Budget Analyst at the Finance Ministry, a position she has held since 2017. Her professional experience includes annual budget formulation, baseline budget assessments, expenditure analysis, budget control, and fiscal risk evaluation.

In addition, she has contributed to providing budgetary guidance to various government institutions and has been involved in preparing key government publications, including the Budget Statistics Book and the Fiscal Risk Statement.

Shazhath holds a Master of Business Administration (MBA) in Finance from the University of Bedfordshire in the United Kingdom. She also earned a Bachelor of Arts (Honours) in Accounting and Finance from the University of the West of England.

The position of Managing Director at AgroNet remains vacant following the dismissal of Hussain Didi who previously held the role.
