Applications open for HRCM seat as Samaau’s term nears expiry

The Human Rights Commission of the Maldives (HRCM) has opened applications for a vacant membership seat, following the upcoming expiry of the term of one of its current members.

According to the President’s Office, applications will be accepted from 8:30 am to 12:00 pm on all days except public holidays. The deadline is 12:00 pm on Monday, August 10.

Application forms are available for download from the President’s Office website.

HRCM currently has five members, the longest‑serving of whom is Samaau Ahmed Najeeb, appointed on October 3, 2021. Her term is set to conclude on October 3, 2026.
