Nazleena appointed to IDS board

Mariyam Nazleena, who was appointed to Infrastructure Development Solutions Company's board.

Mariyam Nazleena has been appointed as the accounting and finance board member of at Infrastructure Development Solutions Company Limited (IDS).

IDS is a wholly state-owned company established under a presidential decree issued by President Dr. Mohamed Muizzu on May 30 last year. The company was created to accelerate the implementation of infrastructure and development projects across the Maldives.

Nazleena has more than 15 years of experience in financial reporting, public financial management systems and Integrated Financial Management Information Systems (IFMIS). She currently serves as Senior IFMIS Finance Specialist at the Ministry of Finance and Public Enterprises.

She also brings over 13 years of experience in SAP implementation and technical advisory services, during which she has trained more than 200 employees in the SAP FI module. Her professional experience includes leading financial reporting teams, overseeing state investments, and contributing to reforms related to International Public Sector Accounting Standards (IPSAS) and accrual-based accounting.

Nazleena holds a Master of Business Administration (MBA) from the University of the West of England in the United Kingdom and a Bachelor of Commerce in Accounting from Al-Azhar University in Egypt.

IDS is mandated to undertake construction and infrastructure development projects across the country's islands and densely populated areas using modern technology and advanced resources. The company recently partnered with the Road Development Corporation (RDC) to import 230 units of heavy machinery and vehicles from Chinese manufacturer XCMG for use in the Maldives.
