Fire incident in kitchen leaves mother and baby with burn injuries

A fire incident in a kitchen has left a mother and her five-month-old girl with burn injuries. The mother was trying to turn on the stove while carrying the baby when the incident took place.

The police told Sun Online that the incident took place in a house called Lucky Seven in Vilimale’ at around 6:00 pm. The woman is aged 41.

The police said that both mother and child are being treated at IGM Hospital.

The police media official referred to the doctor at the hospital and said that about three percent of the mother’s body had sustained burn injuries, while about 30-40 percent of the baby’s body had sustained burn injuries.

The police said that the incident is under investigation.
