Police car crashes into streetlight in Kendhikulhudhoo

A police vehicle was involved in an accident at N. Kendhikulhudhoo late last night.

According to the Maldives Police Service, the accident was reported at approximately 23:15pm.

The authority confirmed that an investigation is currently underway to determine the circumstances surrounding the accident.

Footage circulating on social media shows a damaged police car on top of a concrete structure, believed to be the base of a streetlight.

Although the videos show police officers present and active at the scene, official sources have not yet confirmed whether any injuries were sustained in the incident.
