The Bank of Maldives (BML) on Wednesday renewed its partnership with Maldives Surfing Association (MSA) as its development partner.
Under the partnership, BML will continue as the official sponsor of the national junior and senior surfing teams.
The bank will also support the annual National Junior Surfing Championship, aimed at nurturing and developing young talent in the sport.
The bank first established a partnership with MSA in 2022, which was renewed in 2024.
BML states that it remains committed to contributing to the development of sporting talent nationwide through youth-focused initiatives and strategic partnerships with national associations.
The bank also partners with the Maldives Olympic Committee to offer a sports scholarship program, with the latest recipient being Sayyid Salahudin, a young national surfer who will undergo advanced training in Indonesia, Japan and the Philippines as part of his international development pathway.
