Police recapture detainee who fled custody during treatment at IGMH after five‑day search

A man who escaped from police custody while receiving treatment at IGMH has been found after five days.

Police said in a message to the media that the detainee escaped from custody while being treated at IGMH early last Wednesday evening. According to police, he was located on Monday, five days after the escape, and has now been returned to custody.

Police said the escape is being investigated as a separate case. The identity of the detainee has not been disclosed.
