A third category has been added to the rules of the “Binnveriyaa” special scheme under the government’s housing programme.

The Housing Ministry said in an announcement that applications will be accepted under the rules for implementing the flat‑and‑land application programme through the third category added to the “Binnveriyaa” special scheme. The application window will be open from 11:00 am on Sunday, May 10, until 11:59 pm on Sunday, May 31, the ministry said.

Under this rule, applications for housing will be submitted through the portal, the ministry said.

The three categories covered by the “Binnveriyaa” special scheme are:

  • Category 1: Those who submitted joint applications under the Binnveriyaa Scheme and received land

  • Category 2: Those who received a flat under a former government housing scheme and could not apply for Binnveriyaa

  • Category 3: Those who have submitted applications for flats after leaving the land under the Binveriyaa scheme, or those who submitted joint applications for flats/land.

Applications under the third category may be submitted by a single applicant who previously filed a single application, or by all parties who have submitted a joint application to relinquish the land and submit applications for the flats separately.

The government has extended the deadline for submitting applications for land and flats under the Housing for All policy until May this year.

The Housing Ministry opened the opportunity to apply for the first housing scheme under the government’s Housing for All policy on January 18 last year. The government has decided to allocate 7,900 flats and 15,000 plots of land under the programme.

A total of 7,900 flats will be provided, of which 4,000 will go to Male' City residents, 1,500 to non‑residents, and 2,400 to special categories.
