The 38-year-old man who fell from a coconut palm in Kulhudhuffushi City on Thursday remains in serious condition, according to the city’s hospital.

The man, a native of HDh. Neykurendhoo, sustained serious injuries in the fall, and was rushed to the Kulhudhuffushi Regional Hospital (KRH).

He has been on a ventilator in the hospital’s Intensive Care Unit ever since.

A spokesperson from the KRH told Sun on Sunday that his condition remains unchanged, and is still “very serious.”

He said that the hospital is managing his blood pressure with injections.

“The patient’s BP is still being managed by administering injections. Therefore, his condition remains the same. He remains under treatment at the ICU,” said the spokesperson.

Ahmed Abdulla, a councilman from Kulhudhuffushi, previously told Sun that the man had been working on trimming the coconut palm when he fell.
