Maldives Inland Revenue Authority (MIRA) has seen an increase of 18.3 percent in revenue compared to the forecasted revenue for February.
The authority’s statistics for the month of February shows a total revenue collection of MVR 660.5 million and a U.S. Dollar revenue collection of $27.3 million. The total revenue collection for the previous month of January stood at MVR 1.1 billion and a U.S. Dollar revenue collection of $30.2 million.
Last month’s statistics show that MIRA earned MVR 106,137,605 as Business Profit Tax (BPT) and an amount of MVR 372,592,101 as Goods and Services Tax (GST). They had also collected an amount of MVR 55,899,990 as Airport Service Charge.
MIRA has also gained MVR 77,634,596 as Tourism Tax (Bed Tax), and an amount of MVR 6,274,954 as Tourism Land Rent.
