Oil transport vehicle inside Hakatha petrol shed set on fire

An oil transport vehicle was set on fire while parked inside the Hakatha Petrol Shed, located near Henveyru swimming track.

Nobody was reported to be hurt during the incident which happened around 2:30 am early this morning.

Police and military attended and extinguished the fire, which had also spread to the building.

Police have said that they have arrested a man who tried to obstruct police duty while they were attending to the fire.
