An employee working at GA. Dhiyadhoo’s WAMCO site is being treated on ventilator support following diesel ingestion.
Sun has learned that the employee ingested diesel, which entered their lungs. They were initially treated at GA. Villingili Hospital, but have since been transferred to Indira Gandhi Memorial Hospital (IGMH) for further care.
Although the employee is currently being treated on ventilator support, they are in stable condition.
Notably, an employee of STELCO who was critically injured in a workplace fire passed away on Thursday.
