The Waste Management Corporation (WAMCO) has launched an official mobile application with the aim of providing all administrative services in a single platform.
WAMCO said all administrative services related to waste collection will now be easily accessible online through the application. Users can register for WAMCO’s waste collection service and request individual waste disposal services (CAPS) through the app. The application can be used by logging in via eFaas.
In addition, payment for WAMCO services has been made easier, with bill details, previous bills and payment options available directly through the app, the company said.
The app also allows users to chat with WAMCO agents to clarify information about services, submit complaints, and view the progress of submitted cases and transactions made through the application.
WAMCO provides waste-management services in all cities and towns in the country, in addition to the Greater Male' area. The new application is now available for download from the Apple App Store and Google Play Store.
WAMCO is a 100 percent government-owned company established to strengthen waste-management services in the Maldives and dispose of waste in an environmentally friendly manner. The company’s key functions include collecting and safely disposing of household, business and office waste, transporting collected waste to waste-management areas such as Thilafushi, and disposing of it in an environmentally friendly manner.
WAMCO also promotes waste separation and recycling in the community and cleans streets and public areas in Male' and various islands.
