Pharmacies in Male' will provide Aasandha service through e-portal: Aasandha Office

Aasandha Private Limited has said that starting from tomorrow, e-prescriptions will be used through an e-portal by private hospitals, and that medication will be issued from pharmacies in Male’ and Hulhumale’ based on the e-prescriptions.

A press statement issued by the insurance provider today stated that this will allow the customers to retain their original prescriptions issued by the clinics. The company stated that if a medicine is not available from a certain pharmacy, another pharmacy that provides Aasandha service will issue the medication through e-prescription, if available.

The statement also stated that if the prescription issued by the private clinic is hand written, the customer will not be able to claim the it through Aasandha service.

The statement also said that the service will exclude medication that are not covered by the scheme and that the prescription must not be more than 30 days old for the customer to claim the medicines under Aasandha.
