SAFF Championship in Bangladesh set for late 2017

South Asian Football Federation Championship (SAFF Championship) to be held in Bangladesh has been scheduled to late 2017.

The date for the tournament was announced at a SAFF Executive Committee (ExeCo) meeting today in Negombo, Sri Lanka.

The ExeCo meeting decided the SAFF Championship in Bangladesh would be held from 25 December 2017 to 5 January 2018.

President of the Football Association of the Maldives (FAM), Ahmed Thoriq (Tom) and the Vice President of FAM, Ali Umar took part at the meeting in Negombo.

SAFF ExeCo also discussed on holding SAFF Club Championship starting next year.
