Xavi arrives in Maldives ahead of exhibition match

Spanish football star Xavier "Xavi" Hernández Creus has arrived in Maldives, ahead of the exhibition match between the SAFF Championship winning Maldivian national football team and the current Maldivian national football team.

The former Barcelona midfielder was welcomed upon arrival at Ibrahim Nasir International Airport by President of Football Association of Maldives, Ahmed Toriq.

Xavi has been invited to attend the exhibition match as a special guest, and will be meeting with his Maldivian supporters during the visit.

FAM has also invited former Argentina national football team captain Roberto Ayala to attend the match.
