Zhaiyk defeats Dhivehi Sifainge Club in three straight sets to claim second win

Kazakh champions Zhaiyk VC has defeated Maldivian champions Dhivehi Sifainge Club (DSC) in three straight sets to claim its second win in the CAVA Men’s Champions League 2025.

The CAVA Men’s Champions League – the biggest men’s club volleyball competition in central Asia – began in Male’ on Thursday afternoon.

Zhaiyk VC defeated Sri Lanka Ports Authority by 3-1 sets in the first match they played.

DCS went against Help Nepal SC in its first match. Despite showcasing a strong performance, DCS lost by 2-3 sets.

In Friday’s match against Zhaiyk, DCS showcased a poor performance compared to the first match, especially by the three foreign players.

Zhaiyk won the first set by 25-17, the second set by 25-22 and the third set by 25-17.

The winning team from this tournament will get the opportunity to compete in the AVC Club Champions League, the largest volleyball competition in Asia. The Champion team of the AVC Club Champions League guarantees entry to the World Championship.
