Five council members of Vaanee join MDA

Five council members of Dhaalu Vaanee have signed to join Maldives Development Alliance (MDA).

They signed to join MDA at a special ceremony held in Dhaalu Kudahuvadhoo on Wednesday night, as part of MDA’s visit to islands of Dhaalu atoll to increase membership.

Following the relocation of the people of Vaanee to Kudahuvadhoo, Vaanee council members also presently work in Kudahuvadhoo.

The council members who joined MDA at the ceremony in Kudahuvadhoo are Council President Adam Abdul Gadhir, Vice President Ismail Yoosuf, and Council Members Mohamed Hussain, Zakariyya Mufeedh and Hariyya Adam.

Speaking after joining MDA, the council members said that the efforts made by MDA leadership in consideration of the needs of the people and to ensure a good future for the people of Vaanee, are far greater than the efforts made in this regard by any other group. They noted that the leadership of MDA had worked closely with the people to solve every problem in the past, and continue to do so today as well. They expressed happiness for the opportunity to join MDA, and expressed confidence that further, steady work will be done via MDA towards addressing people’s needs.

Leader of MDA and Meedhoo MP Ahmed Siyam Mohamed and Deputy Leader and Kudahuvadhoo MP Ahmed Amir also spoke at the ceremony held for Vaanee council members to sign for MDA. They said that the council members joining them on the platform of MDA means that even more steady action will be taken to ensure that people’s needs are fulfilled. They said that the people of Vaanee, regardless of where they live, would be considered as family members of MDA, and that MDA would closely observe their situation.

The ceremony held for Vaanee council members to sign for MDA was attended by Leader of MDA Ahmed Siyam Mohamed, Deputy Leader Ahmed Amir and MDA council members.
