Visam appointed CCO of First National Financial Corporation

Former Registrar of Companies Mariyam Visam who was appointed Chief Commercial Officer of First National Financial Corporation.

Mariyam Visam, who recently resigned from her post as Registrar of Companies at the Ministry of Economic Development, has been appointed the Chief Commercial Officer (CCO) of First National Financial Corporation.

Visam was appointed to the post by the company’s Board of Directors on Sunday, March 16th.

As CCO, Visam’s responsibilities include the development of execution of commercial strategies in line with First National Financial Corporation’s business goals. She will also be placed in charge of overseeing product development, managing sales and marketing teams and building strategic partnerships.

First National Financial Corporation is a private company providing financial services that was founded in 2021. In this regard, services provided by the company include assistance in the issuance of bonds, sukuk and stock, fund management, investment advisory and wealth management.

Visam resigned as Registrar of Companies on March 1st, after 11 years of service.

She was appointed as the Registrar of Companies in 2014. She holds a Masters Degree in Business Economics from University of Queensland, Australia and a bachelor's degree in Marketing Management from the University of Northumbria, England.

Prior to her appointment at the Ministry of Economic Development, Visam was the Director General of Capital Market Development Authority (CMDA). She had previously held the posts of deputy manager and manager of CMDA as well.

At present, Visam also serves as the President of Rotary Club of Male' and a governing board member of Maldives Financial Services Authority (MIFSA).
