Hearings scheduled for Thol

Hearings for the cases against former Defence Minister Thol’hath Ibrahim Kaleygefaanu, Brigadier General (Rtd) Ibrahim Mohamed Didi and Colonel Mohamed Ziyad, taken up by the state for the illegal detention of the Criminal Court Judge Abdulla Mohamed, has been scheduled.

An official from the Judiciary Media Unit said today that Thol’hath’s hearing is scheduled for 16:00 next Monday while Brigadier General (Rtd) Ibrahim Mohamed Didi’s hearing has been scheduled for 16:00 on the 25th of this month, and the hearing for Colonel Mohamed Ziyad has been scheduled for 17:00 also on the 25th of this month.

The state has raised the charge of; wilfully detaining a person who has not committed a crime, upon all three men.

The state has also raised the same charge against former President Mohamed Nasheed and former Chief of Defence Force Major General (Rtd) Moosa Ali Jaleel.
