Zikura College wraps up international conference focused on digital-human shift

Zikura International College has successfully wrapped up the third edition of the International Conference on Technology, Humanities and Management – a conference that brought together experts, researchers and academicians from around the world.

Themed “Sustainable Futures: Managing the Digital-Human Shift,” the two-day conference, held from Sunday to Wednesday at Zikura International College’s campus in Fuvahmulah City, featured insightful discussions on the evolving intersection of digital transformation and human sustainability.

The conference saw the presentation of 36 research papers, covering key areas in technology, humanities, and management.

The event also saw six keynote speeches from distinguished local and international scholars, along with two panel discussions addressing contemporary challenges and opportunities in a rapidly digitalizing world.

Notably, Tan Sri Dato' Sri Haji Azam Bin Baki, Chief Commissioner of the Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission, delivered a speech highlighting the challenges of combating corruption in the digital age.

Academicians and industry experts from the Maldives, Malaysia and Thailand engaged in in-depth discussions, contributing to innovative solutions for sustainable development in an era marked by digital advancements.

Zikura International College expressed their gratitude to the Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC) for their initiative to support the college in disseminating information about corruption to the people. MACC also shared their management and leadership approach in developing their officers to ensure they produce competent and quality officers in this challenging era.

The closing ceremony's chief guest, Fuvahmulah City Mayor Ismail Rafeeq, highlighted the importance of the conference and expressed immense pleasure in hosting the event in Fuvahmulah City.

He emphasized the significance of such academic gatherings in fostering intellectual growth and international collaboration.

During the conference, the Zikura International College signed Memorandums of Understanding (MOUs) with the Accounting Research Institute, Universiti Teknologi Mara, Malaysia, Rangsit University, International College, Thailand, and Fuvahmulah City Council to foster academic and research collaborations.

Participants emphasized the importance of continuous academic collaboration to navigate the complexities of digital-human interactions and ensure sustainable growth.

The conference concluded with a commitment to further research initiatives and international partnerships to address emerging global challenges.

The ICTHM 2025 was hosted by the Fuvahmulah City Council and co-organized by the Accounting Research Institute of Malaysia’s Universiti Teknologi MARA and Thailand’s Rangsit University International College.

Zikura International College is the only college in the Maldives to be headquarters outside the capital Male’ City.

The college extended gratitude to all contributors, keynote speakers, and participants who played a crucial role in making the event a success.

The institution said it looks forward to hosting future editions of ICTHM to foster more interdisciplinary discussions and research.
