SSTV-MMCA open entries for ‘Madhaha Ran Adu’ competition

Entries have been opened for the sixth season of the ‘Madhaha Ran Adu’; jointly organized by SSTV and Maldives Music and Arts Centre (MMCA).

‘Madhaha Ran Radu’ is a serial hymn recital competition that has been held by MMCA since 2020.

Last season of the competition held by MMCA in collaboration with SSTV saw the participation of 165 individuals nationwide.

Entries for the competition is open until December 15th. The competition holds the record for presenting the highest number of original lyrics and tune.

There are seven categories in the competition:

  • Under six years
  • Under nine years
  • Under 11 years
  • Under 13 years
  • Under 16 years
  • Under 18 years
  • Between 18 and 35 years

Participants in the competition will have the opportunity to present their hymns virtually while showcasing the beautiful scenery of islands. Winners who came in first, second and third in various categories were presented awards during the previous five editions of the competition.

Mushaath Musthaq from Ahmedhiyya International School was crowned ‘Madhaha Ran Adu’ – the most prestigious award in the competition – during the last season.
