Maldives has the wisdom to progress: Mulay

Indian High Commissioner to the Maldives D. M. Mulay has praised the Maldives and said that it has the wisdom to progress during times of difficulty.

Mulay said this while speaking at a function held to mark the completion of his term as the Indian High Commissioner to the Maldives.

Mulay said that the several groups feel that the past months have been difficult for them politically; however, such periods are inevitable during the advancement of a democratic system.

Referring to the ties between the Maldives and India, Mulay said that the ties are very strong and that they continue to be strengthened. He said that small challenges are faced at times, but that those are times to re-evaluate, reshape and create new visions.

Mulay thanked the institutions and citizens of the Maldives for their cooperation during his tenure as Indian High Commissioner to the Maldives.
