MTCC earns MVR 24 million in profits last year

Maldives Transport and Contracting Company Plc. (MTCC) has earned a profit of MVR 24.1 million for the year 2012.

The company’s quarterly report published on their website today stated that on the fourth quarter of 2012, the company earned a profit of MVR 31.1 million. In the first quarter of 2012, the company earned a net profit of MVR 2.3 million, a net profit of MVR 4.2 million was earned in the second quarter and a net profit of MVR 3.8 million during the third quarter.

The company’s records show that it has made MVR 597 million of sales last year and declared 12 million as taxes.

In 2011, MTCC faced a loss of MVR 8.03 million and the company had failed distribute shares to its shareholders that year.
