The young boy injured in a wall collapse in Th. Kandoodhoo on Friday has been evacuated to the capital for treatment.

The 10-year-old was taken to Male’ City on an air ambulance on Saturday morning.

Kandoodhoo Council’s vice president Ilyas Mahmood told Sun that the boy had been walking back home after playing with his friends, when a wall collapsed on him.

“Heartfelt thanks to everyone who assisted in this. Especially President Dr. Mohamed Muizzu, Minister of Health Dr. Abdulla Khaleel, and the heads of the Th. Atoll Hospital,” wrote the center.
