Malaysia Airlines the best Airline in Asia

Malaysia Airlines has received the award of “World’s Leading Airline to Asia 2011” organized by the World Travel Awards, making it the second time they receive this award.

About 213,000 Professional Travellers participated in this competition, for which votes were received by Travel Agents all over the world. Malaysia Airlines won by competing with seven other large Asian Airlines, including Singapore Airlines. Voting for the competition was conducted online.

The Award Giving Ceremony for the competition was held in Doha last Thursday.

CEO of Malaysia Airlines Group Jauhari Yahya said that this award is very important to the Airline, in order to obtain more customers according to their business plan.

“We are trying to promote our brand name. We plan to increase the number of airplanes by 23 within the next year. This award will allow us to get more customers, especially Malaysian customers,” Jauhari said.
