Tourism Ministry’s Permanent Secretary (PS) Fathimath Nifla has resigned from her post.

Civil Service Commission (CSC)’s Vice President Ibrahim Rasheed said Nifla resigned from her post last week over personal reasons.

No further details regarding her resignation were disclosed by Rasheed.

The permanent secretary at each ministry is the highest-ranking civil service staff in each ministry.  Nifla had been the permanent secretary at the Tourism Ministry during former president Ibrahim Mohamed Solih’s administration, when Dr. Abdulla Mausoom had been the minister.

Earlier this week, Education Ministry’s Permanent Secretary Ahmed Ali also resigned from his post while in suspension over a case under investigation by CSC.
