One injured in wall collapse in critical condition, to be transferred to Male’

Lhaviyani Atoll Hospital, noting one of the individuals injured in the wall collapse while picnicking at Lh. Dhuffushimaadhoo is in critical condition, says efforts are underway to transfer the patient to Male’ City for further treatment.

MNDF, in an earlier statement, identified the victims as a 57-year-old woman and a 28-year-old man.

They said both victims were transported to Lhaviyani Atoll Hospital this morning for treatment.

Updating Sun on the condition of the victims, Lhaviyani Atoll Hospital preparations were underway to transfer one of the victims to Male’ City for further treatment, citing the victim to be in critical condition.

The hospital noted that an additional four people were brought to hospital after sustaining injuries in the accident – who have since been discharged after treatment.

MNDF, noting the incident was reported to the authority at 5:19am early Friday morning, said officers were dispatched to the scene immediately following the report.

The specific details of the injuries sustained by the victims remain unknown.
