Man caught in TMA airplane propeller, dies

A man has died after being caught in the propeller of a TMA airplane which flew to Conrad Maldives Rangali.

A Police Media Official said that the person who has died in this accident is Ismael Hamdhoon, 20, of Fehifarudhaage, M. Maduvvari.

A source from the resort said that he was part of the crew, and got caught in the propeller when he slipped while walking on the platform and fell into the water.

The resort informed that a team of divers got him out of the water as soon as he fell in, and that he is now at the Resort Clinic.

A news release by TMA following this incident said that no passengers were onboard the plane when the accident happened. They also said that Hamdhoon’s family and the respective authorities have been informed of the incident.

A Police Media Official said that they had received information of a man’s death after having been caught in a propeller of a TMA airplane, and that a Police team has been dispatched to the resort to investigate this case.
