Man accused of rape hands himself in to police

A man wanted by the police under suspicion of entering a house in Male’ and raping a 13-year-old girl has handed himself in to the police.

Police said that Saeed Ahmed, 55, of Male’ Dhaftharu 5113, who is suspected of having committed the act at around 9:30pm last night, handed himself in moments ago.

Meanwhile, the police also arrested two minors and an 18-year-old boy in Gaddhoo today under suspicion of raping a child, whileanother man was arrested in Villimale’ last Saturday under suspicion of raping a 16-year-old girl.
