PPM sets up Media Committee

PPM has set up a Media Committee and appointed Council Member Mohamed Hussein Shareef (Mundhu) as the Committee’s President, and Dhunya Maumoon as Vice President.

Mundhu is the spokesperson for the Party’s Acting President Maumoon Abdul Gayoom, while Dhunya is Gayoom’s daughter.

The Committee, put together according to section 43 of the Party’s Constitution also includes Vilimaafannu MP Ahmed Nihaan Hassan Manik, Galolhu Dhekunu MP Ahmed Mahloof, Mohamed Nimal, Ibrahim Muaz Ali, and Abdulla Shinaan.

The Media Committee consisting of seven members was set up, with the appointment of Mundhu as President and Dhunya as Vice President, at a party meeting held today.

Sections 43c and d of PPM’s constitution states that the person appointed as President of the Media Committee is also the Party’s Chief Spokesperson, and that every member of the Committee can act as a spokesperson for the party.
