First Lady returns after visit to Fuvahmulah

First Lady Fazna Ahmed on Saturday morning concluded her three-day visit to Fuvahmulah City. 

Her visit was to participate in the festivities of International Day of Older Persons.

During the visit, she took part in various activities organized jointly by the Ministry of Gender, Family, and Social Services, the Maldives Pension Administration Office, the Maldives Police Service, and the Fuvahmulah City Council.

On Wednesday night she met with the members of Fuvahmulah City's community social group, IBAMA.

The following day the First Lady attended the official ceremony held in Hafiz Ahmed School to mark the International Day for Older Persons. She later attended the final match and awards ceremony of the Ground Golf Tournament.

In the final day of her visit, she visited the homes of some of the most elderly people in Fuvahmulah City and participated in the three-generation walk as part of the festivities for the International Day of Older Persons.

Moreover, she attended the family evening where she visited stalls and met with those attending the event.

The theme for the United Nations International Day of Older Persons in 2022 is “Resilience of Older Persons in a Changing World.”
