MACL website hacked, given strict warning

The website of Maldives Airports Company Limited (MACL), “macl.aero” was hacked at around 11:00pm last night.

The hackers posted a strict warning message on the website, which was signed off by “Indishell Defacers Team”.

The warning message says: “To Maldives: Stop defaming Indian Reputed Companies & learn how to run a website and secure it first.. If you don’t know how to secure a website, can you run an Airport securely, MACL? WE WILL BE WATCHING YOU! MESS WITH THE BEST & DIE LIKE THE REST!! Don’t ever think of winning a war with us! REMEMBER, We will do anything for India! ANYTHING!”

This message was posted along with the picture of two eyes with the Indian flag.

This comes shortly after MACL posted job opportunities for employees of GMR to join MACL, after the government made the decision to terminate its contract with GMR and gave the company a seven-day notice.
