MDP Members are bribed to talk about me: Reeko Moosa

Reeko Moosa Manik, Acting Chairperson of MDP, has accused people of giving bribes to MDP members, to talk badly about him.

Speaking at an MDP meeting held last night, he said that he has been abused verbally regarding his personal life and reputation for the past one and a half years, and that the people who talk about him in this manner receive bribes to do so.

“It has now been one and a half years, since they started with this verbal abuse. I do not believe that people close to me will talk like this about me, if they weren’t being paid by someone,” he said.

Moosa Manik said that all these people will be taken to court and trials will be held until “they feel like their mouths are being canned”. He also said that VTV and DhiTV are also involved in this personal, verbal abuse and sometimes threaten him, and that he will take these channels to court as well.

“First I was accused of carrying alcohol in my car and selling it. Then someone said at the Majlis that I had bastard children with actress Maryam Nisha. And then it was debated on whether I was a bastard child or not. Then they had nothing to talk about for a while, until they found this Company related issue, and started talking about that too,” he said.
