Tourism Ministry has announced a TikTok challenge to celebrate 50 years of tourism in Maldives, in which participants, both local and foreign, have been invited to post a 60-second video clip lip syncing to ‘Nala Nala Raajje’ - the Maldives tourism golden jubilee theme song – and win amazing prizes.
The TikTok challenge will be held from March 12 to May 10, and is open to everyone, regardless of age, gender or nationality.
Tourism Ministry states that the video should be uploaded with the official TikTok handle of the Tourism Ministry, “@mot.mv” and should also contain hashtags #Maldives #NalaNalaRaajje #maldivestourism50 #visitmaldives.
Each participant can upload maximum three videos from their accounts.
Participants will be categorized based on two categories.
Categories for Maldivians:
Category A: TikTok user accounts above 10k+ followers
Category B: TikTok user accounts below 10k followers
Categories for Foreigners:
Category A: TikTok user accounts above 1 million+ followers
Category B: TikTok user accounts below 1 million followers
Evaluation of entries will begin on May 11. The entries will be judged based on views, likes and shares.
Views carry 35 percent of marks, likes 25 percent, and shares 40 percent.
The winners will be announced via Tourism Ministry’s official social media accounts on May 17.

Silver: MVR 15,000

Category A: TikTok user accounts above 1 million+ followers
Gold: Eight-day holiday package for two pax
Silver: Five-day holiday package for two pax
Category B: TikTok user accounts below 1 million followers
Gold: Eight-day holiday package for two pax
Silver: Five-day holiday package for two pax
