COVID-19: 484 new cases; 15,076 active cases

Health Protection Agency (HPA), on Sunday, announced 484 additional cases of COVID-19, increasing confirmed cases in Maldives to 169,632.     

According to HPA, the 484 new cases include; 57 cases from the greater Male’ region, 382 cases from residential islands outside Male’, and 24 cases from operational resorts. 

Meanwhile, 618 additional COVID-19 patients were confirmed to have made full recoveries over the last 24 hours, increasing total recoveries to 154,246.    

With the new developments, Maldives now has 15,076 active cases.      

There are 16 patients in hospitals.      

3,014 samples have been tested for COVID-19 over the last 24-hours, including 696 samples from the greater Male' region.  

With the 484 new infections on Sunday, 4,559 people have tested positive over the last one-week period.

Maldives has recorded 297 COVID-19 deaths.
