The Maldivian National Defence Forces (MNDF) has said that special events and ceremonies to celebrate the Victory Day would be held on the night of 14th of this month.
The MNDF also said that the celebrations would be held at the Republican Square in Malé. The celebrations would begin at 20:30 hours.
The MNDF said that the celebrations would be divided into three categories of events. These would include a music show, in which four songs would be performed by some of the famous Maldivian artists accompanied by the MNDF brass band.
The MNDF said that the celebrations would also include speeches by some senior orators in the country and school students. The theme of their speeches would be the occasion being celebrated.
Also, a special video presentation on the events of 3rd November 1988 would be screened, and this event would be followed by fireworks, according to the MNDF.
The MNDF says any television operators interested in live telecasting of the events could now apply for permission.
