Eight additional pension non-compliant employers announced

The Pension Administration Office has announced the names of eight additional companies that have registered with the Retirement Pension Scheme, but failed to contribute to employee pension funds.

The Office announced names of 90 non-compliant companies in September, following which 24 companies settled the payments.

The list was updated yesterday, and 73 employers remain as non-compliant companies.

The eight additions to the list are Maalhohu Councilge Idhaara, Atoll Paradise Private Limited, Everyones Learning Center, I.P Construction Pvt Ltd, Island Editions Pvt Ltd, Nature Maldives Pvt Ltd, Pheonix Hotels and Resorts Private Limited, and RMCI Private limited.

Pension Office said that efforts are underway to encourage and advise them to make the payments.

Failure to pay within fifteen days of the names being announced will result in cases against those companies being filed to Court.
