A Maldivian pilgrim has gone missing, says reports from the Holy City of Makkah.
The pilgrim, a lady by the name Sara Adam, was under the care of Sisilfaru Hajj and Umrah Group, according to Muhammad Didi, Minister of State for Islamic Affairs and the Leader of Maldivian Hajj Mission for this year.
Mohamed Yusuf, an official who spoke to Sun Online on behalf of Sisilfaru, told that Sara Adam is from Malé, and that she was with her husband too. He also confirmed that a search mission was under way.
“The lady has gone missing, and her husband is also here with us. We are now conducting a search mission”, said Yusuf.
No further personal information about the lady have been available. The time of her disappearance has not been clarified either. When asked for additional details, Yusuf declined to speak saying that “we are very busy here, and cannot talk anymore right now”. He requested to be contacted later for further information.
