The Maldivian Hajj Mission in Mecca has informed that Maldivian pilgrims have arrived in Arafat.
Hajj Mission member Moosa Anwar told Sun Online today that all Maldivians arrived in Arafat around 10:15am Male’ time.
He said that he met with all eight groups of Maldivian pilgrims today, and that all pilgrims are doing well except for a mild cold that has been going around.
Eight Hajj groups were allowed to take 1,000 pilgrims for Hajj from Maldives this year. Also, additional 20 slots were extended as an invitation from the King of Saudi Arabia.
Moosa Anwar said that the pilgrims will return to Male’ on 3, 4 and 8 November.
