COVID-19: 129 new cases, 15 from Male’ area

Health Protection Agency (HPA), on Monday, announced 129 additional cases of COVID-19, increasing confirmed cases in Maldives to 74,480.

According to HPA, the 129 new cases include; 15 cases from the greater Male’ region, 111 cases from residential islands outside Male’, 2 cases from operational resorts, and 1 case from liveaboards.

Meanwhile, 140 additional COVID-19 patients were confirmed to have made full recoveries over the last 24 hours, increasing total recoveries to 71,029.

With the new developments, Maldives now has 3,226 active cases.

There are 25 patients in hospitals.

4,913 samples have been tested for COVID-19 over the last 24-hours.

With the 129 new infections this Monday, 998 people have tested positive over the last one-week period.

July 2: 143 cases

July 1: 133 cases

June 30: 138 cases

June 29: 178 cases

Maldives has recorded 213 COVID-19 deaths.
